Hey Thrivers! I wanted to talk about how to manifest using your thoughts. Your thoughts shape your reality. I have recently been working on developing a better mindset and becoming more aware of my thoughts. As I have mentioned before I started reading this book called The Magic which speaks really well on how to manifest. This particular book helped me get started in this process. I wanted to share what my experience has been like thus far. Your life is a result of the thoughts you have and the choices you make based off of those thoughts whether you believe this or not. Our thoughts are so powerful and small shifts in the right direction everyday can truly transform our life into the one we choose.

The Magic is a book that gives you lessons and tasks each day for 28 days. The tasks are all ways to get you to appreciate the abundance and blessings in your life. I know initially going into it, you may be skeptical. But the truth is you will have a hard time bringing bigger and better blessings into your life until you learn to appreciate and manage the blessings you currently have. If you can’t manage $100, you will not be able to manage $1000, $10,000, or even one million dollars. If you don’t love yourself first, you will not be able to love someone else wholeheartedly and unconditionally. If you can’t be happy in the small wins and small moments of everyday life, you will not be happy when you achieve all of your short term and long term goals.

This book really helped me in addition to other resources as well to help shift my mindset dramatically. While laid off from work during quarantine, I had learned how to manage my finances so well. Being laid off during a worldwide pandemic was such a big blessing for me because I truly had to figure out how to continue paying my bills and manage my money better. The good thing was I wasn’t going out so my expenses were cut out a lot. I was struggling so hard to figure out how to manage my finances and once I became in control of it, my whole perspective on my finances was much healthier. Once I started applying the concept of gratitude to my everyday life, it allowed me to welcome more opportunities of wealth. I started making commission again at work, got a raise within the matter of a few weeks, and the biggest opportunity was a new job offer with better pay and benefits. What made this job offer stand out was that it was in my field and I had been waiting for this opportunity for years.

This brings me to my point of how your thoughts shape your reality. Flashback to 2017, I was taking on debt to go to grad school, I was unemployed, I was diagnosed with PCOS (Happy PCOS Awareness Month!) which explained the weight gain even though I had a good diet and was working out everyday, I just ended a 4 year relationship with my boyfriend, I was living on my own and had no close friendships. I was going through a lot personally when I was trying to finish getting my Masters but I pushed through even if I was crawling my way to the finish line.

My self-esteem was shot though. I was going through a period of depression. I did not feel good about myself physically and had zero confidence. The thoughts I had at the time had shaped my reality. I was attracting jobs that were not related to the field I got my degree in. I wasn’t even aiming high when applying. My mindset was – this is what I’m capable of achieving and I will take whatever comes my way. Looking back, I know it was meant to be. I would not have been able to get where I am today had I not continued to climb the ladder. I would not have been mentally ready to take on the opportunity I am given today. I had to work on getting back up, working on my health, working on my relationships, working on my finances, and learning from the mistakes I made in the past.

The one thing that took me a little longer to learn was knowing my worth when it comes to love during this process. I know about all the love I have to give and everything that I bring to the table. So I have had to learn the hard way, that I will not accept anything below what I am worthy of because I know how much value I bring. So I focused on developing that value in every important relationship in my life whether that was my relationship with my parents, my relationships with my family, my relationships with my friends, or my relationships at work. I actively chose to appreciate the good in each person and to be someone that brings joy and light to a person’s life. I wasn’t perfect every time but I always aimed for the best. Keeping this going has helped me to feel so much more fulfilled and happy and not focused on what someone could not provide for me as a romantic partner. But more importantly, doing this allowed me to appreciate my present moment. All we have is now.

If I could go back to the girl in 2017 sitting in her living room apartment by herself all depressed and feeling defeated drinking through her wine bottle (not glass), I would give her a big hug and let her know that everything will be okay and you’re going to come out of this so much stronger and wiser. So remember these few things: begin and end each day with gratitude, focus on all the good things that come out of a situation even if it is not the best situation, choose to be happy in all the small moments, and change whatever you don’t like about your life, even if it takes time to get there.

Change your thoughts and you will change your reality. Keep shining thrivers!

Take Care!
